Evening Teamwork
The most fundamental thing for any teamwork is to work with your teammates, not against them. Your mates shouldn’t be your competition. If you and your mate are fighting over a girl, it can be a disaster for both of you.
Here’s some tips:
- Only one of you should approach the group first. Your mate should just wait a couple of minutes to see if you need him in the group. Generally speaking, you will. That said, there are certain situations you won’t. For instance, if you approached a group of 3 people and you wanted to pull one of the girls away for a private conversation, adding your mate here could be really awkward and unnecessary. If you do go out with your mates a lot, this sort of communication can become rather instinctive. Whatever you try to do, keep it plain simple.
- Give priority to your mate. If you’re the first into a group and then your mate appears a couple of minutes later, turn to face him. Then address him. He’s instantly more important than any girl you’ve been chatting to for a couple of minutes.
- Talk to each other. If your mate and you meet two girls, you should still spend a reasonable amount of time talking to one another. This clearly implies you’ve got a solid social circle and your attention ain’t been completely diverted to the girls. You can even chat to your mates about the girls you’ve only met, a perfect opportunity to tease them.
